Birth Registration
To exercise Ecuadorian nationality, children born abroad must be registered in the Consulate of their jurisdiction.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Original international apostilled birth certificate.
- Passports or ID cards of the parents.
- Copy of the marriage certificate, if applies.
- It is not necessary for the minor to be present, the presence of one of the parents is enough in case if they are married. If parents are not married, both must assist.
- If inscription is made before the 18th birthday, the inscription has an administrative cost of € 5 euros. Afterwards, the cost is € 17 euros. Cash payment is not accepted. It is only possible to pay by a bank transfer (PIN) at the Consulate offices.
