Residence registration or change of electoral domicile
The change of electoral address is a permanent service provided by the Consular Section in The Hague for Ecuadorians residing in the Netherlands. You have two options for completing this procedure; please choose one:
1. ONLINE: Visit the National Electoral Council (CNE) website, create an account, and follow the instructions: http://servicios.cne.gob.ec/
2. IN-PERSON: You must schedule an appointment online and visit our offices in person. Below are the instructions for scheduling an appointment online:
- Go to: https://citas.cancilleria.gob.ec/
- Select the Administrative Center: NETHERLANDS, THE HAGUE – CONSULATE
- Then select: CHANGE OF ADDRESS (CAMBIO DE DOMICILIO)
- Enter your personal information and complete the registration validation process.
- Attach a scanned copy of your passport or Ecuadorian national ID card (cédula).
- Choose the date and time for your appointment.
- You will receive an email confirming that your appointment has been scheduled; your documents will then be validated by an official.
- Please arrive at our offices—located at Koninginnegracht 84, 2514 AJ, The Hague—on the date and at the time you selected to complete the procedure.
IMPORTANT:
- Ecuadorian citizens may exercise their right to vote from the age of 16.
- Citizens who appear on the Electoral Roll are eligible to vote.
- For citizens registered to vote from abroad, voting is optional.
